Amazon Outreach 2011

This spring, we will be participating in a mission trip to serve the needs of several remote villages along the Amazon River. Unfortunately, there are hundreds of thousands of impoverished peoples living in this region with little to no access to basic human needs, including clean water, safe housing, and basic medical/dental care. By serving the physical needs of the villagers, we hope to build friendships and share the love of Christ.

We will be part of a team of American and Brazilian physicians and nurses. At each village, we will set up a basic clinic and provide a variety of healthcare services for the local people. For many of our patients, this will be their first encounter with a healthcare provider!

In addition to providing basic healthcare, we will be building and repairing Churches and homes, drilling wells to provide safe drinking water, teaching the Gospel to men, women, and children, and even providing haircuts.

This will be an amazing opportunity to experience the full measure of God’s love by serving others.

We are blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives, and we would like to invite to join us in our mission. There are two ways you can help:

Prayer: Please pray for our preparation, safety, effectiveness in our work, and building relationships with the local people.

Support: We will need to raise approximately $6000 for this trip. This will fund not only our travel, but the necessary supplies to serve the villagers. I know that this is a small task for God to accomplish, and we greatly appreciate any help in this area.

Please make checks payable to "College Park Church" and mail to:

Having you all in our lives has already been a great blessing.

Thanks always for your love and support,
